not/the Same Sunrise; not/the Same Blues Annie Wan, porcelain 2018
What did you get up to over the CNY break? I went to the Hong Kong Heritage Museum to see the Claylaboration exhibition! There were fascinating pieces there and I really enjoyed learning about the collaboration process between the ceramic artists and their creative partners to realize the installations and art work.
As you can see in the photo on the left, the exhibition is on until April 15, 2019 so schedule a time to take your family to visit.
Here are a few of the interesting things I spotted at the exhibition...
A Sense of Eternity—Sea . Brick, This Sky, Bystander, Shatin
By Feeling and Remembering...
Yokky Wong, Stoneware
Outside the gallery, some pieces to TOUCH!
There are other fascinating exhibitions on at the museum apart from their permanent ones. I also popped in to see:
90 Years of Public Service Broadcasting in Hong Kong (closes February 25, 2019)
Collection of RTHK logos designed by 90 local illustrators
Golden Splendours: 20th Century Painted Porcelains of Hong Kong (closes 18 March, 2019)
Have fun at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum and let me know what else you discover there!
